OK, it's been over a year since your last post on this. Has this upgrade been coded and made available?

Hi Eddie,
This was something planned but not implemented as yet. This will required firmware upgrade and of course MyBuddyMic software to select this option. Few minutes back, I did some tests and actually got this working. I was able to change the Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 microphone setting from MyBuddyMic.
Please check back in couple of weeks for this change. Lets say about 24th of May 2010.
Best regards

I am running Dragon 10.1 Medical and just installed the new mic. When I go into Dragon I get device not found error. On the report it shows an Access Violation error. The pen just blinks blue. Dragon is not recognizing this new hardware.

The work around is to install the old software and then run updates. So far it has seemed to work, but of course, now it is not working in Dragon for me.

I have HP tablet pc 2730p model running windows xp. It has encrypted drive. It has Dragon Medical Practice 11.0 version. MyBuddyMic software is Rel 1.0.597. There seems to some conflict with Dragon. Problem seems to occur usually with correct "..." command.

You have two software version. Is there any difference between win 32 and Rel 1.0.597 software?
Thank you.

Out of two available software, which one is better to use with MyBuddyMic Stylus?
Can you use one software on one computer and another on 2nd computer?

Thank you.

1. Turn off the filter. I see an action for the DSP but can't figure out how to control it (I get the error message "Could not retrieve help text for fmActionDSP"
2. Program the speaker connector to tell the computer that the speaker is not available when nothing is plugged in so that the computer will use its own speaker. Right now when I unplug my headphones I have to change the audio settings in my computer.

Thanks

I need some more information in order to solve this issue for you.
1) What is the version of MyBuddyMic software you are using?
2) If you downloaded a profile using MyBuddyMic software to the microphone, what was the name of the profile?
3) What is your target application, Dragon NaturallySpeaking or something else?
4) If you are using Dragon software, please provide version number, 10, 11, 11.5 or older?
5) How exactly you would like to mute the microphone? Mute toggle, Push-To-Talk, Dragon microphone mute, etc.

It appears that button on the stylus might be stuck. If you press the buttons on stylus itself, do you hear a light click? We can certainly replace the microphone if you prefer to do that. You can contact the place where you purchased the product or contact support@insyncspeech.com for an RMA number and procedure.

The stylus is the bottom part of the Buddy StylusMic (the white part) is made by Wacom and sold to us by Fujitsu, which we attach to our StylusMic body.

I just bought a 7G to use with my lifebook (which is wacom) and the stylus is not working right. it seems to be acting as if the left click button is always pressed. without touching any buttons on the stylus if I bring it near the screen it starts to draw a selection box (as if I was holding down the left mouse button). Is there a way to fix this. I have gone through the control panel pen and table settings but cant seem to find a way to adjust it. Microphone is working great with medical dragon btw

Thank you

Hi,

You can use click, double click and hold on the same button. This events are exclusive.

Press for example is also triggered at the begining of the previous mentioned events. So you would not usualy use press and click events on the same button.
Press and release are intended for example for push to talk functionality. But in that case that button has to be dedicated for that.

The "need work!" on joystick action means that the help is not yet complete. Help "needs works." functionality is complate though.

Sorry for late response,
Peter

I just purchased a Buddy Stylus 7G to use with Dragon Medical 10.1. It appears that even with the available MyBuddyMic program there aren't more than four programmable actions (two for each part of the upper toggle switch). So if I use the lower toggle switch for turning the mic on and off and want to use the "next field" and "previous field" actions there is only one other double click on the lower switch that can be used. For example I programmed that switch to go to "command mode". I would like to have a button action to return to "normal mode". It appears that the "press" event is not operational. Joystick action says "needs work". When can I expect to get more functionality from a $300 mic? It is somewhat misleadingly advertised as to what it can do. Thanks for you help. Dave

There is something wrong with your report. You say you purchased the product about a year ago, however, hardware version 7.80 was introduced in late September 2010. ProductID 0x7107 is also not that old.

Then you write that you sent a zip file with error report. The new MyBuddyMic.Net does not produce an error report. Old error report you sent months ago, does not help at all with current problem.

There is day and night different between old MyBuddyMic technology (based on Win32) and new MyBuddyMic.Net (based on DotNet). Only the look and feel is similar. Same goes for the Buddy StylusMic we produced a year ago and what we ship now. Our work on any of our product has not slowed one single bit. We continue to improved our products every month.

I need more accurate information to pin point what is the real problem.
